We’re proud to announce that Abby Industrial has fulfilled all requirements for the United States Small Business Association’s SDVOB program.
The requirements for the SDVOB program include:
- Passing the “are you a small business” test set forward by the SBA
- Being at least 51% owned and controlled by one or more service-disabled veterans
- Having day-to-day operations managed and long-term decisions made by one or more service-disabled veterans
- Having a disability incurred while in service to the United States of America
Founder and President, Tom Stanek began serving in 1981, when he joined the United States Coast Guard. Tom’s service included time afloat as an operating engineer and shore time in shipbuilding, bringing large acquisitions to delivery. Looking back on the ship acquisition days, the experience in design, delivery, and Federal Contracting was his first time representing an Owner on a complex project. Tom was honorably discharged in 1992.
As a certified SDVOB, Abby Industrial is eligible to compete for the program’s set-aside contracts. The Federal Government tries to award at least 3% of annual federal contracting dollars to service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses.
If you’re a large company competing for government projects, you can meet Federal small business sub-contracting requirements by hiring Abby Industrial as your Owner’s Project Manager.
